MRH Insurance Group is a third-generation, family-owned independent agency serving clients since 1932. Founded by David L. McCune and later led by David M. Robinson, the agency was purchased in 2009 by Ross T. Hendrickson, who continues the tradition of personalized service and trusted coverage. With eyes on the future, MRH remains committed to serving families and businesses for generations to come.

Our President
Ross T. Hendrickson, MBA, is President of MRH Insurance Group, Inc., a family-owned agency based in Kansas. Originally from Eureka, Ross earned his BBA in 1993 and MBA in 2007 from Washburn University. His early career included political work for Kansas Secretary of State Ron Thornburgh, traveling extensively statewide.
Ross transitioned into the insurance industry in 2000, working in compliance for AmerUs Annuity Group before joining New York Life. In 2006, he joined his family’s insurance business in Chanute, later opening and expanding a successful Topeka branch. In 2009, he acquired the agency and rebranded it as MRH Insurance Group, which has since grown significantly in carriers and coverage lines.
In addition to his insurance work, Ross operates Hendrickson Cattle Company, a fifth-generation Flint Hills ranching operation. He’s actively involved in community and civic organizations, including past leadership roles with the Chanute Rotary Club, Leadership Kansas, KAIA, and local school board. Ross is also a member of First United Methodist Church.
Married to Amy for 30 years, Ross is a proud father of Jack and Max. He enjoys time at the ranch, golf, reading biographies, and supporting his alma mater, Washburn University.
